Today, I received E-mail from a member , He asked me :
“I tried to copy and paste the embed code into the HTML code using the content manager's WYSIWYG interface. The code is supposed to play a movie(youtube), but it does not play. If I look at the page's HTML source code, I see that the embed code is indeed there, but it is not playing.”
There are actually several ways to go about embedding a YouTube video into an article in Joomla! 1.5, But in this article, I will show you the way that makes it dead simple.
Step 1:
Download the plugin. Install and Enable (publish) it.
Step 2:
Go to YouTube.com and find a video that you want to embed. Copy the URL for that video from your browser bar.
Step 3:
Paste the URL into your content item. Like this
Repeat steps 4-6 for as many videos as you wish to embed.
That's all there is to it. Really. It's that simple. The plugin handles all the embedding code for you. I am releasing the plugin under the GNU/GPL, so feel free to use it on as many sites as you wish.
